An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Registered Nurse in the Ambulatory Care Centre (ACC)
The ACC is a nurse led unit, which delivers a wide variety of treatment to children from birth to 18 years. There are 3 teams that work within ACC - Day Medical, Haemodialysis and Allergy. It is a fast paced, dynamic environment with a small highly skilled nursing team.
This is a fixed term contract to cover Maternity leave until 01/02/2011 based primarily in the Day Medical Unit
The Registered Nurse position includes:
• Responsibility for co-ordination of care
• Effective communication and liaison with the multi-disciplinary team
• Resource utilisation
• Provision of a safe environment
The successful applicant will possess the following:
• Current Division 1 Registration with the Nurses Board of Victoria
• Minimum 3 years post graduate experience preferably in paediatrics
• Demonstrated communication and organisational skills
• Ongoing commitment to professional development
• IV cannulation skills and Nitrous accreditation are desirable but not essential.
The position comprises three 7.6 shifts per week Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday.
Hours of operation in ACC are 08:00-18:00. The ACC is closed on weekends and public holidays.
